Alternate Reality Hidden Hollow
My summers at Hidden Hollow ended nearly two years ago, and now I’m living in Morocco, working with kids in a completely different setting, in youth centers and cultural centers, where thoughts of my time at hhc trickle through my mind from time to time.

As Seen in PeaceWorks
I felt inclined to share the piece that I wrote on home brewing in Morocco for our volunteer magazine, PeaceWorks. Enjoy.

Early Evening Snack Time: Kaskrut
Kaskrut is the third meal of the day in Morocco, or as I like to call it, designated snack time. It’s around dinner time in America, but since dinner here is usually around 10pm, depending on the family, we have to snack.

Kulshi Mzyan
One more full day in Aghbala before we leave for the foreseeable future. One more full day until we’re back in Beni Mellal, swearing in as official peace corps volunteers, and getting ready to move to our final sites for two years.

Kemis Sidi Yahya
One week in a foreign country and I feel like I’m at home. I can only say greetings in Darija, the heat has been getting to all of us, and handwashing laundry is the new bane of my existence, but, I have never felt this welcomed or experienced this much hospitality in my life. It’s unbelievable how fast you can fall in love with a foreign country and become best friends with 56 strangers, but I’m getting ahead of myself.
